EMC Releases Isolated Recovery Solutions To Combat Hackers

EMC recently commissioned a data protection index that highlighted various cyber threats. The study was conducted by the independent Vanson Bourne and looked at enterprise backup in 18 countries around the world. EMC states that the index shows business have been doing well at protecting against the best known threats but are unprepared for upcoming attacks. In order to help companies with these future attacks, EMC is releasing its new Isolated Recovery Solutions.

Veeam Appoints New President And CEO

Today Veeam Software announced Peter C. McKay as its new COO and President. Peter C. McKay was most recently Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas with VMware. The company is also promoting their current Executive Vice President, William H. Largent, to its new CEO. Ratmir Timashev and Andrei Baronov, Veeam’s co-founders and directors, will remain active in the company with a shift toward market strategy and new product development. Veeam states that these new appointments will add further depth to an already accomplished executive lineup.

Spectra Logic Has Been Selected By NBC To Archive The 2016 Olympic Games

IBM Partners With Box To Enable Local Data Storage In Europe & Asia

IBM will be extending its global partnership with Box to give enterprises the option to store data regionally in Europe and Asia on the IBM Cloud. Today Barracuda Networks Inc. announced that it was updated and expanding its Backup product line. Along with expanding and updating this product line, Barracuda is also offering new subscription and cloud storage prices.
