HPE Completes Its Acquisition Of Nimble Storage

Last month, we reported that Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) was in the process of acquiring Nimble Storage for $1 billion and $200 million in unvested equity awards. Today, HPE announced that the acquisition is complete for the above mentions price and equity awards. This is HPE's second major acquisition this year, the first being SimpliVity in January.

VMware Continues to Push the HCI Market with vSAN 6.6

VMware just launched version 6.6 of vSAN, bringing another round of new features and enhancements. With more than 7,000 customers, and growing rapidly, the sixth version of vSAN boosts performance of its all-flash configurations upwards of 50% in some situations. Today Pure Storage announced its first all-NVMe, enterprise-class all-flash array, the FlashArray//X. This new array is built on proven FlashArray architecture. Tegile Raises An Additional $33 Million In Funding

Today Tegile Systems announced that it has been able to raise an additional $33 million in funding. This latest round of funding brings the total raised to $178 million for the company. This round of funding was led by Western Digital Corp and additional investors include Meritech Capital, Capricorn Investment Group, and Cross Creek Capital. The newly raises funds will be invested in technology development and product innovation, and to expand worldwide market reach.
