GIGABYTE Announces NVMe Enabled Server Solutions

GIGABYTE Technology will be demonstrating two new models of server rackmount solutions at the Supercomputing 2015 show in Austin, Texas: the H27N-H70, a High Density NVMe Server; and the R18N-F2A, a 1U 10 Bays NVMe Server that support the NVMe storage interface.

The two new models are based on the Intel C612 chipset and sit nicely beside the company’s line of varied form-factor server solutions as they are compatible with NVMe-based 2.5"/3.5" devices with front-access hot-swappable bays. The new Gigabyte servers offer significantly higher IOPS, lower latency, and lower power consumption compared to SATA III and SAS3 interfaces. In addition, because they leverage NVMe technology is designed, they can boast faster data transfer performance between a storage device and the processor of a system. 

The two new NVMe enabled models are optimized for demanding applications requiring the extra level of storage performance that are inherent of NVMe devices and are the first releases of a larger upcoming lineup:
