The important matters of positioning and transfer performance are of course the ones
that get most of the attention when considering hard disk performance specifications--and
rightly so. However, they are not the only specifications that exist for hard disks. There
are a few other specs that are routinely found in hard disk data sheets that are
indicative of various performance characteristics of the drive, even if they aren't
strictly related to the drive's ability to do random accesses or sequential transfers. I
take a look at these in this section.
