QNAP has announced the immediate availability of their TS-963X 9-bay NAS, which is highlighted by an AMD quad-core 2.0 GHz processor, up to 8GB RAM (expandable to 16 GB), and 10GBASE-T connectivity that supports 10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100M connection speeds. Seagate Reports 3Q18 Earnings

Seagate Technology reported its financial results for the quarter ended March 30, 2018, the company’s third fiscal quarter of the year. The numbers looked good just beating expectations and the company is reporting a large growth in shipments of capacity. Their stock, too, tumbled a bit after the numbers were announced.

Western Digital Reports 3Q18 Earnings

Western Digital reported its earnings for its third fiscal quarter of 2018 that ended March 30, 2018. Overall their numbers were good with great improvements over the same time last year in almost all cases. Western Digital stock was a bit bumpier than its earning reports but potentially making it a good buying opportunity.

Supermicro Launches 1U Ruler NVMe Server

Super Micro Computer, Inc. released both an NVMe 1U Superserver and NVMe 1U JBOF that support 32 hot-swap Intel “Ruler,” or EDSFF, form factor NVMe SSDs. The new server and JBOF are thermally-optimized to get the maximum density out of a 1U space. Leveraging up to 32 Intel SSD DC P4500 drives, customer can fit 256TB per 1U space in their data centers.
