QSAN Releases XCubeFAS All-Flash SAN

QSAN Technology Inc. launched its, and apparently Taiwan’s, first All-Flash SAN, the XCubeFAS XF2026D. This new 2U SAN is designed for both SME and larger enterprises. The SAN has 26 bays and can be expanded to support 130 SSDs.

The new XF2026D is ideal for virtualization environments, big data analysis, and for managing applications that require high IOPS and low latency levels. Instead of being powered by SANOS, the new SAN is powered by QSAN’s new OS, XEVO. The new OS has several benefits including:

  • Specific SSD monitoring technology to analyze the activity and life of the SSD
  • Performance history and analytics report of storage usage
  • Automatic Remote Replication that makes remote backup configuration painless
  • Multiple volume creation to reduce time of establishing multiple volumes at a time
  • Snapshot recycle bin to offer additional backup protection from accidental or intentional data deletion
