Samsung Spinpoint MP4 Announced - 640GB 7200RPM Notebook Hard Drive
Samsung today introduced the highest-capacity 7200RPM hard drive for notebooks, the Spinpoint MP4. It will be available in 250GB - 640GB capacities, have a SATA 3.0Gbps interface, and a 16MB cache. The Spinpoint MP4 drives include Samsung's SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies for a claimed quieter operation.
The Samsung Spinpoint MP4 drives will be available to OEMs in April 2010; pricing and other availability have not been announced.
