WD My Passport Edge USB 3.0 Compact Portable Hard Drives Released

Western Digital has extended their line of portable hard drives, introducing My Passport Edge, a new line of 500GB drives in its My Passport family. My Passport Edge is designed with a USB 3.0 interface and a slim 2.5-inch hard drive that helps keep the physical footprint of My Passport Edge to a minimum.

The My Passport Edge for Mac complements MacBook and MacBook Air designs with an all-aluminum exterior and is compatible with Apple Time Machine. The PC version incorporates WD SmartWare backup software and also features a new design and finish.

WD’s My Passport Edge is now shipping. MSRP for the My Passport Edge is $109.99 or $119.99 for My Passport Edge for Mac.
