Zetta.net DataProtect 4.0 Availability Announced
Zetta.net is announcing the general availability of its DataProtect 4.0 which is an enterprise-grade cloud backup and disaster recovery solution designed for SMEs, remote and branch offices, and managed service providers (MSPs). DataProtect 4.0 provides several new features including WAN traffic optimization, local backup functionality for all data sets, a new UI, and an improved Exchange Server Backup plug-in. Zetta.net is also announcing its growth with its customer base having expanded year-over-year by 243% and with Series B funding of $8,000,000 to enable further expansion (which brings the company's total backing to $39.5 million).
Zetta.net DataProtect 4.0 includes local software, cloud backup, and archiving and disaster recovery. DataProtect is unique in that it is cloud-native and features built-in WAN traffic optimization and ten cloud performance acceleration technologies. This all aids in driving performance closer to local backup speeds or better. This appliance-free solution enables organizations to replace legacy backup systems with an easy-to-deploy, cost-effective implementation.
Zetta.net DataProtect 4.0 features advanced WAN traffic optimization, local backup for all types of data, a new UI and an enhanced Exchange Server Backup plug-in. The WAN traffic optimization is 200% faster than on DataProtect 3.0 and 396% faster than competitors. Users can backup in minutes, and they can recover multiple TBs of data in a 24-hour time-frame. The new UI configuration wizards automate and simplify server backups with built-in server type-specific backup configuration checklists. Additionally, the enhanced Exchange Server backup plug-in now includes support for a wide range of Exchange server configurations.

Zetta.net DataProtect 4.0 is available now with a starting price of $225/month. That price includes the unlimited backup and recovery software, 500GB of enterprise-grade secure cloud storage, U.S.-based engineer-level support and monitoring. Organizations also have access to all maintenance, updates and upgrades.
