Commvault Rolls Out New Appliances
Today at their annual GO conference in Nashville, Tennessee, Commvault announced two new cloud-ready appliances, the Commvault HyperScale Appliance (model HS3300) and the Comvault Remote Office Appliance. The HS3300 is for MSPs and large enterprises while the Remote Office Appliance takes Commvault’s Complete Backup & Recovery and extends it to ROBO. Commvault is also reiterating its integration with HPE StoreOnce.
Commvault has a HyperScale appliance, HS1300, that it has seen success with. The company is taking the basic idea and offering both a larger and smaller version in order to hit more markets and offer customers more flexibility.
For larger enterprise and MSPs, Commvault is offering the HyperScale Appliance model HS3300. This appliance comes with between 174TB to 262TB of useable capacity in a fully converged appliance that tightly integrates server, storage, and Commvault Complete Backup and Recovery. The HS3300 makes it easier for customers to deploy data management solutions while addressing the larger workloads of MSPs.
On the flip side, the Commvault Remote Office Appliance is a turnkey appliance designed to be easily installed and maintained are remote sites for their backup and recovery needs. This extends all of the benefits of Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery to smaller locations without the need of dedicated IT for setup and management. This smaller appliance runs from 5TB to 15TB of useable capacity.
The Commvault Remote Office Appliance is available now. The new Commvault HyperScale Appliance (model HS3300) is expected to be available in December 2018.
