Corsair Adds 90GB and 180GB Capacities to Force Series SSDs
Hot on the heels of Kingston's 96GB SSD announcement, Corsair has broadened their SSD line with 90GB (CSSD-F90GB2-BRKT) and 180GB (CSSD-F180GBP2-BRKT) capacities. The new F90 and F180 add more steps in the Force family that ranges from 40GB to 250GB capacities. The 90GB model is especially interesting as it fills the large capacity and pricing gap between the 60GB and 120GB models.
SandForce SF-1200 Processor from the F120
Like the rest of the Corsair Force SSDs, these units use the Sandforce SF-1200 SSD processor, which offers stated read speeds of up to 285MB/sec and writes up to 275MB/sec, with a 4K random write throughput of up to 50,000 IOPs. More detail on the Corsair Force SSDs may be found in our Corsair F120 and F40 reviews.
The F90 and F160 Force Series SSDs are available now with MSRPs of $189.99 and $399.99 respectively.
