The new points of presence (PoPs) start coming online in the fourth quarter of 2026, and CoreWeave expects the network to form a full loop around the globe in mid-2027. ![Rendering of an atNorth data center; CoreWeave runs its first Danish capacity at the atNorth DEN01 site in Copenhagen](https://www.storagereview.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Storagereview-atNorth-DC.jpg) ## Denmark Deployment Uses NVIDIA Blackwell and Quantum-X800 DEN01 runs NVIDIA Blackwell systems connected over NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand, and it brings CoreWeave’s European footprint to nine data centers across five countries: Denmark, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, and Norway. CoreWeave has not said how much of the 22.5MW is still to come online. The site has a heat reuse agreement that sends surplus heat into the local district heating network, and atNorth says the facility also supports renewable energy development through power purchase agreements. ![Dell-built NVIDIA rack systems cabled for a CoreWeave deployment]() ## Multiple 400Gbps Connections at Each Network Location The new PoPs land in the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, and Japan, connected over terrestrial and subsea fiber, and extend a backbone that already links CoreWeave’s data centers across North America and Europe. In Indonesia, the PoP will tie in the three data center facilities CoreWeave announced in August, and in India it will connect 240MW of data center capacity in Navi Mumbai. Every PoP carries multiple 400Gbps connections over a unified optical IP network. CoreWeave runs MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE) encryption in hardware at line rate on its backbone links, on Direct Connect traffic arriving from customer networks, and inside its data centers. For resilience, each PoP links to at least two other PoPs over four physically diverse paths, and each region is dual-homed to two PoPs, so no pair of regions depends on a single route. CoreWeave calls the result the first global backbone purpose-built for AI and describes it as Petabit-scale, but it has not published aggregate capacity, interregional latency, or measured transfer rates. “We’re expanding our global infrastructure and the network connecting it together, so customers can focus on building and improving AI rather than managing the complexity underneath it,” said Sachin Jain, chief operating officer of CoreWeave. ## Active Capacity and Contracted Power CoreWeave operated 51 data centers worldwide with more than 1.5GW of active power as of June 30, 2026, and reported approximately 4.2GW of contracted power on its August 11, 2026 earnings call. Contracted power is capacity CoreWeave has secured for future buildouts, not capacity already running. ### [CoreWeave Networking](https://coreweave.com/products/networking) **Engage with StorageReview** [Newsletter](https://www.storagereview.com/storage_newsletter) |  [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/user/StorageReview "Opens in a new window") | Podcast  [iTunes](https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/storagereview-com-storage-reviews/id1060681115 "Opens in a new window")/ [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/show/1y6VnznABhHeOSMOmbDTz0 "Opens in a new window") |  [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/storagereview/ "Opens in a new window") |  [Twitter](https://twitter.com/storagereview "Opens in a new window") |  [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@storagereview?
