This launch represents a significant milestone in Dell’s strategic collaboration with Microsoft, focusing on providing seamless cloud integration. The Dell APEX Cloud Platform family, unveiled at this year’s Dell Technologies World, simplifies the hybrid cloud experience. The announcement is noteworthy because it’s the first in the APEX Cloud Platform family and the first Premier Solution for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI. Solutions in this category only include platforms to offer the fastest time-to-value for Azure hybrid cloud through deep integration with Microsoft. ![](https://www.storagereview.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Storagereview-Dell-APEX-Azure-Cloud-ClusterManagement.png) Dell APEX Cloud Platforms represent the next generation of infrastructure, providing consistent operations and better control over workload placement on-premises and in the cloud. These platforms leverage Dell’s expertise in automated infrastructure management, software-defined storage, and next-gen computing, promising customers greater flexibility and long-term investment protection. ## Bringing Cloud Service On-Prem Dell’s partnership with Microsoft brings Azure cloud services to on-premises environments, a significant opportunity given the rising trend of on-premises deployments. This partnership combines Dell’s software-driven management and orchestration strengths with Microsoft’s cloud services and container orchestration. One of the standout features of the APEX Cloud Platform is its ability to simplify Azure operations, ensuring consistency across on-premises and public cloud environments. With deep integration and automation, deployment time is significantly reduced, saving customers valuable time. The automated deployment wizard results in an 88 percent reduction in deployment steps compared to existing integrated systems. By optimizing the delivery of AKS hybrid and Arc-enabled apps and data services, the platform helps accelerate application delivery. Customers will be able to simplify management with deep integration and familiar tools. Additionally, users can enforce consistent security and compliance policies across the Azure landscape through integration with centralized Azure management and governance services. ## Accelerating Application Delivery Through Optimized Delivery The platform accelerates application delivery through optimized delivery of various services while enforcing consistent security and compliance policies across the Azure landscape. Dell ProSupport Infrastructure Suite ensures customers receive ongoing full-stack support, freeing internal staff for other priorities. Beyond meeting the requirements of Microsoft’s new Premier Solutions for Azure Stack HCI category, the Dell APEX Cloud Platform offers several extra capabilities. These include near-instantaneous availability of new releases and patches, automated cluster expansion, specialized nodes for edge computing, and support for additional storage configurations with software-defined storage. ## Partners Expand Solution Offerings Customers and partners alike are excited about this solution, with strategic partners like Kyndryl expanding their solutions to include managed services for the APEX Cloud Platform. LoopUp, an organization focused on global communications, sees the platform’s deep software integration and lifecycle management as beneficial for scaling and delivering cloud telephony innovations. Partners like Orange Business highlight the importance of deep integrations and automation in managing data and applications in hybrid environments. Dell’s APEX Cloud Platform for Microsoft Azure is set to simplify the hybrid cloud experience, offering consistency, automation, and deep integration with Azure services. It’s a step toward addressing the challenges of modern IT and simplifying cloud management for organizations.
