NETGEAR Release New Arlo Q Plus Security Camera

Today NETGEAR Inc. announced that they have released yet another camera for their Arlo HD Camera System (formally the VueZone Camera System). This new release builds off of NETGEAR’s last Arlo Q camera that had two-way audio, built-in night vision, rolling seven days of free cloud storage for video recordings, and 1080p HD video. Unlike the previous version the Q Plus now support Power over Ethernet (PoE) and comes with a MicroSD card slot for local recordings in the event of a network failure.

Synology Network Video Recorder NVR216 Review

Synology has designed a storage solution that is optimized for easy PC-less surveillance in offices and small shops looking to leverage up to 4 IP cameras (or up to 9 with an upgraded unit). HP today announced the mt41, a new laptop form-factor thin client with a 14-inch screen that is designed for mobile access through remote corporate, academic, and government infrastructures via the cloud. The mt41 runs Windows Embedded Standard 7E and features wired, wireless, and WWAN connectivity options and is offered with a choice of either AMD’s A4-5150M or A4-4300M dual-core CPUs. HP mt41 configurations are available as light as 4.59lbs and will be shipping in November.

Lenovo is announcing its ThinkCentre M32 thin client that features an Intel Celeron platform with plenty of legacy port support. The ThinkCentre M32 is designed for enterprises looking for a value offering that provides a desktop virtualization offering, and since data resides on the network with thin clients, capital investments and security threats (viruses, data theft, etc.) are minimized. Lenovo’s ThinkCentre M32 thin client also provides users with either the Linux-based thin client operating system called LeTOS or with Windows Embedded Standard 7. On top of the flexible OS offerings, Lenovo Terminal Manager (LTM) software is included to centrally manage thin clients. Lenovo developed that software with Devon IT.
