Dell Announces Complete Active Directory Backup & Recovery For Azure Cloud Environments

Dell has announced the latest update to Dell Recovery Manager for Active Directory and Recovery Manager for Active Directory Forest (RMAD) with Edition 8.7, which allow businesses running hybrid Active Directory environments with Azure AD Connect to back up, view and restore changes to AD objects in both real-time on-premises and in the cloud. RMAD also allows for on-premises automated forest-level recovery and the ability to create of a fully functional virtual lab environment.

IBM Announces Object Storage for Bluemix

IBM has announced their new Cloud service called IBM Object Storage, which gives developers the ability to interactively compose and connect object storage into their apps. Available in beta on Bluemix, IBM’s Cloud Platform, Object Storage also offers app creators a fully scalable, API-accessible platform to store and retrieve unstructured data, while giving access to this valuable data from external apps. IBM indicates that this will allow developers to build and scale their apps around this content, creating new ways to tap into its value.

Tintri Adds New AFA And Hypervisor Support And Updates Its OS

Today Tintri Inc. made several announcements including a new entry-level all-flash array, the Tintri VMstore T5040, an update to their operating system, up to Tintri OS 4.1, and through the update comes support for the Citrix XenServer hypervisor. The new T5040 joins the VMstore T5000 All-Flash series and T800 Hybrid-Flash series giving customers even more flexibility.
