Today at Dell Technologies World 2018, Dell EMC announced that it would be expanding its HCI portfolio with the launch of new Dell EMC VxRail Appliances and VxRack SDDC Systems. The more powerful systems, aimed at simplifying digital transformations, come on the heels of ESG and IDC reports showing that Dell EMC is the market leader in HCI system sales. Dell EMC Unveils PowerEdge Servers For AI & ML

Today at Dell Technologies World 2018, Dell EMC announced two new four-socket 14th generation PowerEdge server aimed at artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) the PowerEdge R940xa and PowerEdge R840. The company also announced the latest version of Dell Precision Optimizer, version 5.0, further strengthening AI and ML capabilities. Dell EMC is tightening is relationship with Intel so that both companies can advance AI community innovation, and ML and DL (deep learning) capabilities with Dell EMC Ready Solutions.

Dell Technologies Capital Announces Strong First Year

Coming out of stealth last year at Dell EMC World 2018, Dell Technologies Capital (DTC), the venture arm of Dell Technologies, is reporting a strong year of investment momentum. In this past year DTC has been able to complete 24 new and follow-on investments as part of its $100 million annual investment average run rate, several of which focused on AI and ML. Since its beginning in 2012, DTC has been able to make 81 investments focused on early-stage startups that span a broad range of technology areas.
