Dell has added Dell Validated Design for Generative AI with NVIDIA for Model Customization to help customers quickly and securely extract intelligence from their data collection. Dell has also included Dell Professional Services for GenAI to provide expertise in generating better business results faster. Dell has strengthened its relationship with Starburst to accelerate AI and analytics for customers. ![]() ## Maximize Proprietary Data With Customized GenAI Models The Dell Validated Design for Generative AI with NVIDIA for Model Customization offers a comprehensive solution for leveraging pre-trained models to extract intelligence from data without the need to build models from scratch. This solution is designed to provide organizations with best practices for customizing and fine-tuning GenAI models to achieve specific outcomes while maintaining data security and on-premises control. It introduces a scalable blueprint for customization, granting organizations multiple avenues to tailor GenAI models to their unique requirements using proprietary data. The design of this solution is modular and flexible, accommodating a wide spectrum of computational needs and use cases, including training diffusion, transfer learning, and prompt tuning. ![]() Notably, Dell Validated Designs for Generative AI now encompass both model tuning and inferencing capabilities. This expansion allows users to deploy GenAI models more expeditiously, leveraging proven infrastructure that includes the high-performing, and a StorageReview favorite, [Dell PowerEdge XE9680](https://www.dell.com/en-us/dt/servers/server-accelerators.htm#accordion0&tab0=0&tab1=0&accordion1), recognized as an industry-leading AI server. Alternatively, organizations can opt for the Dell PowerEdge XE8640, equipped with a selection of NVIDIA Tensor Core GPUs and [NVIDIA AI Enterprise software](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/data-center/products/ai-enterprise/). This software package offers a comprehensive suite of frameworks, pre-trained models, and development tools, including the [NVIDIA NeMo](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/ai-data-science/generative-ai/nemo-framework/) framework, all complemented by Dell software. ![]() Moreover, by combining robust computing capabilities with versatile storage solutions like [Dell PowerScale](https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/powerscale-family/sf/powerscale?gacd=9650523-1131-5761040-266691960-0&dgc=ST&SA360CID=71700000098985068) and [Dell ObjectScale](https://www.dell.com/en-us/dt/storage/objectscale.htm#tab0=0), customers gain the ability to efficiently feed models with diverse data types, all within the framework of a validated design. Notably, this infrastructure can also be accessed through a subscription model via Dell APEX, offering organizations greater flexibility in aligning their AI infrastructure with their evolving needs. ## Expertise In Preparing Data, Businesses, and Proceses For GenAI Dell is leveraging its extensive experience and processes to empower customers in achieving enhanced business outcomes with its expanded GenAI professional services offerings. ![]() Dell will offer customers Data Preparation Services that are tailored to equip customers with meticulously prepared, clean, and accurately formatted data sets. This invaluable foundation facilitates the seamless progression of AI projects while simplifying the integration of data, ultimately ensuring the delivery of high-quality data outputs. With Dell Implementation Services, professional services will establish a fully operational GenAI platform optimized for inferencing and model customization. Implementation services mean Dell will accelerate the time to realize value from AI initiatives. Furthermore, when complemented by Dell Managed Services, this offering extends to the operation of the complete NVIDIA-based GenAI solution. This holistic approach enhances operational efficiency and allows customers to shift their focus toward developing and refining their proprietary GenAI use cases. ![]() It seems education and training are always overlooked. However, Dell recognizes the significance of equipping customers with the requisite skills, so Dell now offers Education Services with a focus on GenAI. These services are designed to bridge the GenAI capabilities gap by providing customers with essential knowledge and expertise. By acquiring these critical skills, customers are better prepared to harness the full potential of GenAI and drive meaningful outcomes for their organizations. ## Accelerating AI And Analytics Efforts Dell and Starburst are joining forces to turbocharge the world of AI and analytics. Their collaborative efforts are paving the way for a groundbreaking open, modern data lakehouse solution that promises to revolutionize how businesses harness the power of data. ![]() At the core of this innovation is the fusion of Starburst’s cutting-edge analytics software with Dell’s formidable PowerEdge compute platform, coupled with Dell’s industry-leading storage prowess. This dynamic blend is set to empower customers with the ability to unearth valuable insights from their data, no matter where it resides. What makes this partnership truly special is its commitment to open software principles. It ensures that customers will not only have easy and secure access to their multicloud data but also the capacity to extract maximum value from their analytics and AI-driven workflows. This synergy between Dell and Starburst is poised to redefine the data landscape, opening doors to unprecedented possibilities in the realm of AI and analytics.   **Engage with StorageReview** [Newsletter](https://www.storagereview.com/storage_newsletter) |  [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/user/StorageReview "Opens in a new window") | Podcast  [iTunes](https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/storagereview-com-storage-reviews/id1060681115 "Opens in a new window")/ [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/show/1y6VnznABhHeOSMOmbDTz0 "Opens in a new window") |  [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/storagereview/ "Opens in a new window") |  [Twitter](https://twitter.com/storagereview "Opens in a new window") |  [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@storagereview?
