Hitachi Data Systems Announces HCP Anywhere Version 2.1

Hitachi Data Systems has announced version 2.1 of their Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) Anywhere, which allows service providers and IT organizations to offer secure content mobility solution to their users under their own brand. New features of HCP Anywhere v.2.1 allow external parties to upload data to shared folders, enhance team folders, and and offers new data protection tools for end-user files. The new 2.1 release also includes enhancements to increase the security, ease of use, and intelligence of underlying storage and network resources. 

Hitachi Data Systems indicates that HCP Anywhere gives service providers and private IT organizations the ability to provide next-generation file services to their customers without having to concede business expectations or mobile workforce conveniences. In addition, with version 2.1, organizations and service providers will gain new features such as data protection and self-service recovery of users’ files and folders, secure external data sharing, collaborative workspaces, full auditability, and better content control.

HCP Anywhere is designed as an integrated, tested, and supported solution, which enables organizations to effectively offer extensible cloud storage solutions under their own brand to help improve user adoption. Public and private IT service providers will be able to provide their users with these advanced file services without having to develop them on their own.
