Pure Purity//FB 4.1

Importantly, Pure continues to deliver on its Evergreen messaging. Purity//FB 4.1 brings the latest software release to all customers, including those with first-generation FlashBlade and the all-flash FlashBlade//S that was launched last summer.

In terms of what’s new, the 4.1 update is highlighted by object storage enhancements such as support for Object Lock and Object Bucket Quotas, file system scale enhancements for up to 10,000 file systems per FlashBlade, and performance and space efficiency improvements for FlashBlade//S systems.

The new version also helps customers minimize unstructured data storage complexity and scale their operations as needed to manage the increasing amount of data.

Pure FlashBlade//S

Pure Storage FlashBlade//S is a modular architecture that offers high-performance levels and capacity optimization. It separates compute from capacity and can be upgraded non-disruptively to deliver a highly configurable and customizable file and object platform.

The platform leverages Pure’s proprietary all-QLC architecture and provides more than twice the density, performance, and power efficiency of the previous generation FlashBlade. The FlashBlade//S platform supports Evergreen subscription-based services, allowing customers to upgrade non-disruptively without worrying about storage platform obsolescence.
