VM Density Value Specialized Second Generation Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs

On April 2nd, 2019, Intel announced the release of the second generation of their Xeon Scalable CPUs. During the announcement they said that they had over 50 unique CPUs based on this technology. They did this in order to create CPUs to address very specific workloads. The CPUs that they announced ranged from a Xeon Bronze 3204 which has 6 cores to a Xeon Platinum 9282 which has 56 cores. In between there are a few specialty CPUs; in this article we will look the Xeon Gold 6262V and 6222V, which Intel tags as VM Density Value Specialized CPUs.

Veeam Releases Version Three of Backup for Microsoft Office

Veeam announced they were releasing Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 v3.  In addition to the paid version, Veeam provides a free version, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 Community Edition, with functionality identical to that of the paid version but limited to 10 users and 1 TB of protected SharePoint data.  Veeam is a major provider of backup solutions.

Dell has announced an upgrade to their Precision 7000 Series workstations. NetApp has announced Memory Accelerated Data (MAX Data) 1.3, which is highlighted by its support for Intel Optane DC persistent memory. Cisco UCS Servers Now Support 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors

Cisco has announced that their UCS servers are now updated with 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Servers now include higher top-end frequencies, Intel Optane DC persistent memory with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB module capacities, support for 256GB DIMMs DDR4 2933-MHz memory, hardware mitigations for several side-channel attacks and Intel Speed Select Technology.
