The same six vendors hold the Leaders quadrant as last year: Everpure, Huawei, HPE, NetApp, Dell Technologies, and IBM. Eight vendors appear in total. Behind Everpure, Huawei posts the second-highest ability to execute, HPE holds the strongest combined position of the remaining pack, NetApp and Dell cluster mid-quadrant, and IBM rounds out the Leaders. Hitachi Vantara stands alone in Visionaries; IEIT Systems is the lone Niche Player. When two-thirds of the evaluated field earns the Leader label, the label itself tells buyers little; the relative positions and Gartner’s cautions in the full report carry the useful signal. ## What We Have Seen From the Leaders Gartner’s placements track closely with what has crossed our bench and news desk over the past year.
