Veeam made Intelligent ResOps (iResOps) for Microsoft 365 generally available today, the first iResOps product to reach general availability since Veeam introduced Intelligent ResOps in May. It is an add-on for Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 that connects to the existing service without data migration or re-architecture, and it maps the tenant’s AI agents, the sensitive data they can reach, and the files they change against the backup state of that data. Veeam also opened Private Previews of iResOps for Veeam Data Platform and Okta.
Veeam ties the launch to its Data Trust & Resilience Report 2026, which found that 88% of organizations are using or piloting AI agents, only 7% qualify as AI-ready, and more than 82% of enterprises have unknown AI agents running in their IT environments. Veeam’s argument is that resilience planning now has to cover drift as well as failure and attack: data that goes stale, gets exposed to the wrong model, or is changed by an authorized agent in ways nobody intended.
DataAI Command Graph Architecture and Agent Visibility
iResOps for Microsoft 365 extends Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 into the DataAI Command Graph, which links production data across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange to its backup context. The add-on discovers Copilot and other AI agents in the tenant, shows which sensitive data each one can reach, and flags oversharing. When an agent modifies or deletes the wrong files, administrators can see the changes file by file and undo them individually.
“Veeam Intelligent ResOps gives customers both a recovery point and a recovery map. A recovery point tells you what you can restore. A recovery map tells you what to restore first, what changed, and what not to bring back,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. The data security and governance capabilities behind that map come from Securiti AI, which Veeam acquired and built into its DataAI Command Platform.
The add-on also classifies sensitive and regulated data across the four Microsoft 365 workloads and shows who and what can access it. It identifies redundant, obsolete, and trivial (ROT) data and quarantines it while teams decide what to archive or delete, which reduces both exposure and storage costs. For minimum viable recovery planning, it confirms that business-critical data is backed up, exposes coverage gaps before an incident, and locates the data the business needs first. Built-in agents answer plain-language questions across data, access, AI agents, and backup protection.
Private Previews for Veeam Data Platform and Okta Identity Resilience
Platforma danych Veeam preview connects existing backup servers to the cloud-based DataAI Command Platform without data migration or major re-architecture, and the Command Graph maps protected infrastructure, workloads, and indexed files in a single console. From there, teams can run a global search across protected and production data, spot an under-resourced server before it misses a restore point, and recover infrastructure or individual files with full restore-point context.
The console centrally manages role-based access control, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication, and it carries three built-in AI agents: Dashboard Agent for insights, Graph Agent for exploration, and Backup Admin Agent for day-to-day operations. iResOps for Veeam Data Platform accompanies Veeam Data Platform v13.2, which Veeam expects to be generally available later in Q4 2026.
iResOps for Okta is a fully managed service aimed at identity misconfigurations and malicious changes. Veeam points out that Okta has no native point-in-time restore or version history and keeps deleted users in a 30-day soft-delete window. iResOps creates immutable restore points across users, groups, applications, policies, and admin roles, covering 29 object types, and verifies each one as restorable against the live Okta API.
Teams can compare the live tenant against a known-good state down to the individual property, then restore an object together with its memberships, app assignments, federation settings, and roles in the correct sequence. That repairs only what broke and keeps every legitimate change made since, so administrators avoid rebuilding access by hand or rolling back the whole tenant. The service extends the identity resilience Veeam already offers for Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
Ecosystem Expansion and Availability
Veeam Intelligent ResOps for Microsoft 365 is available today as an add-on to Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 in Foundation and Advanced editions, and through Veeam Cloud & Service Providers. The Veeam Data Platform and Okta previews are open now to qualified customers, and Veeam plans further Private Previews for GitHub and Azure DevOps, covering code, pipelines, settings, and permissions, plus Google IAM, all starting in Q4 2026. Veeam notes that Private Preview capabilities are subject to change.
