The QNAP TS-873AeU series is designed to handle resource-demanding applications and tasks, including virtual machines, intensive multi-user access, or hybrid cloud applications. QNAP says that, as a result, this makes the new rackmount NAS a cost-efficient solution for businesses that depend on virtualization or VDI applications. ![QNAP TS-873AeU NAS Series front]() With a depth design of 11.7 inches, the new 2U rackmount TS-873AeU series is a fairly compact solution, which makes it great for smaller racks, wall-mount AV rack cabinets, and network rack cabinets. The new QNAP NAS can also be easily deployed in locations like offices, audiovisual rooms, and for applications such as security surveillance recording. For connectivity, the TS-873AeU series is equipped with two 2.5GbE RJ45 LAN ports, with 5GbE connectivity attainable via Port Trunking. Also available are two M.2 PCIe Gen 3×1 slots for SSD caching or SSD storage pools to improve performance overall performance (or Edge TPU for AI image recognition). Further flexibility can be added by populating the PCIe Gen3x8 slot with 25/10GbE network cards, M.2 SSD NVMe cards, or Fibre Channel cards. ![QNAP TS-873AeU NAS Series ]() The QNAP TS-873AeU can be outfitted with up to 64GB of DDR4 SODIMM RAM (4GB standard) and supports 8 x 3.5-inch SATA (6Gb/s, 3Gb/s) drives. ## QNAP TS-873AeU NAS series Key Specifications - TS-873AeU-4G (Single Power Supply model): AMD Ryzen V1500B 4 cores/8 threads 2.2 GHz processor, 4 GB DDR4 SODIMM (up to 64 GB), 250 W Single Power Supply - TS-873AeU-RP-4G (Redundant Power Supplies model): AMD Ryzen V1500B 4 cores/8 threads 2.2 GHz processor, 4 GB DDR4 SODIMM (up to 64 GB), 300 W Redundant Power Supplies - 2U rackmount design, also supports DDR4 ECC memory (up to 64GB), hot-swappable 2.5-inch/3.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s drives, 2 x 2.5GbE Gigabit RJ45 ports, 2 x M.2 PCIe Gen 3 x 1 slots, 1 x PCIe Gen 3 x 8 slot, 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) ports (2 x Type-A, 2 x Type-C) ## QNAP TS-873AeU NAS Series Detailed Specifications | CPU | AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B 4-core/8-thread 2.2 GHz processor | | --- | --- | | CPU Architecture | 64-bit x86 | | Floating Point Unit |  Yes | | Encryption Engine |  (AES-NI) | | Hardware-accelerated Transcoding | Optional via a PCIe graphics card | | System Memory | 4 GB SODIMM DDR4 (1 x 4 GB) | | Maximum Memory | 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) | | Memory Slot | 2 x SODIMM DDR4
