These new memory modules are designed to enable higher density, while increasing performance, bandwidth, and energy efficiency. On top of these benefits, Crucial also states users can see significant cost advantages when compared to 4Gb-based DDR4 modules.

Ever-increasing and more and more demanding workloads are forcing the requirement for higher density memory up and up. Crucial’s new 8Gb-based modules allow greater channel bandwidth and channel density while being up to 20% more energy efficient than 4Gb-based modules. This gives customers more value per gigabit over 4Gb-based modules while enabling easier scaling in the futures. The new memory modules work with Intel’s next generation processor product families and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
