Nexsan, has announced that the Nexsan NST5000 unified storage system has been chosen by Datapipe, provider of mission-critical IT services, as a part of its cloud-based storage initiative. The NST5000 is built for cloud-based environments that require enterprise-class features with high-performance.

The cloud-based managed storage solution from Datapipe is designed to safeguard mission critical data against hardware failure and human error and is a critical data protection backbone for a large range of mid-sized enterprises. As such, Datapipe required high performance, superior reliability, and the flexibility to support random I/O workloads for its storage solution.

Nexsan’s NST unified storage systems is equipped with FASTier acceleration technology to intelligently optimize caching and tiering by taking advantage of DRAM and flash-based solid state memory. Additionally, FASTier triples real-world random I/O performance to enable higher performing IT environments. The combination of ultra high-capacity with three times the performance, along with Nexsan’s FASTier acceleration technology, demonstrated to Datapipe that the NST5000 is ideally suited for its cloud storage environment.
