At the tail end of the GTC 2018, DataDirect Networks (DDN) announced its new EXAScaler DGX Solution. The new all-flash array is quoted at being able to demonstrating whopping 33GB/s of throughput. DDN was demonstrating this new solution at their booth #609.
As the name implies, the EXAScaler DGX Solution is the combination of an EXAScaler ES14KX and a single NVIDIA DGX-1. DDN states that the solution can hit 33GB/s of throughput and over 250K IOPS for 4K random read. This level of performance is especially of interest to those looking to accelerate their Machine learning initiatives and AI workloads. The company also states that it is able to hit over 10GB/s and 100,000 IOPS to a single container gives more than 12X the performance attainable from competing NFS solutions.
