Lenovo has launched three new ThinkAgile VX Series products, all of which are powered by VMware vSAN. Lenovo’s new hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) “building blocks” are primarily aimed at addressing concerns users have as they look to deploy HCI in their data centers. The three new models are aimed at large enterprise, medium business, and smaller remote office users.
As we previously said, the VX Series is a pre-integrated, pre-configured hyper-converged solution built off of Lenovo ThinkSystem platforms and powered by Intel Xeon Scalable family processors. Like most hyper-converged solutions, the VX Series aims to simplify complexity by aggregating servers, storage, and virtualization resources into a common resource pool. The series is designed for easy, rapid deployment so customers spend less time worrying about setting it up and more time focusing on their core business.
The newer models are pre-installed, pre-configured, and pre-tested with VMware vSAN and feature the latest Intel Xeon Scalable Processor Family and include:
These new building blocks will allow customers to start with one of the above units and upgrade with additional VMware NSX or vRealize components.
