Both new Lenovo workstations are powered by the new 2nd Gen family of Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, which makes them a good choice for I/O-intensive workloads across a range of industries. Intel’s new Xeon CPUs are optimized for purpose-built platforms and feature up to 28 cores and increased frequency of up to 4.4. GHz.

The P920 and P720 also now support the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 8000 GPUs. Powered by NVIDIA Turing architecture and the NVIDIA RTX platform, these professional graphics cards are easily one of the most powerful to hit the market for rendering, visualization, compute, and AI workloads. Industry professionals will be able to leverage hardware-accelerated ray tracing and AI to increase overall productivity and develop content faster, which will reduce time and costs. When using NVLink, users can connect two RTX 8000s for a whopping 96GB of total graphics memory.
