QNAP Announces New TVS-882BR-RDX Models

QNAP has announced the addition of two new TVS-882BR-RDX models that integrate the Tandberg RDX QuikStor internal SATA 5.25-inch docking station (8813-RDX) for installing removable and portable RDX hard disk cartridges. The Tandberg RDX cartridge offers a more robust, dust-proof build that protects data for longer periods of time compared to traditional external hard drives. Users can also seamlessly move their data with these cartridges.

QNAP has announced the addition of two new TVS-882BR-RDX models that integrate the Tandberg RDX QuikStor internal SATA 5.25-inch docking station (8813-RDX) for installing removable and portable RDX hard disk cartridges. The Tandberg RDX cartridge offers a more robust, dust-proof build that protects data for longer periods of time compared to traditional external hard drives. Users can also seamlessly move their data with these cartridges.

The TVS-882BR line is highlighted by 7th-Generation Intel multi-core processors, DDR4 2133 MHz RAM (scalable to 64 GB), four Gigabit Ethernet ports, and SATA 6Gb/s HDD interface. QNAP quotes up to 447MB/s in reads and 443 MB/s in writes when using Intel’s AES-NI encryption. The TVS-882BR also features three PCIe Gen.3 slots for expanded versatility, as it can be populated with a 10GbE/40GbE network adapter, QM2 expansion card, SAS storage expansion card, or a USB 3.1 10GbE adapter (the TVS-882BRT3 comes with two pre-installed 2-port Thunderbolt 3 expansion cards). Moreover, it features Qtier auto-tiering technology and SSD caching with two M.2 SATA 6Gb/s slots.
