QNAP has announced two new 2U, 8-drive rackmount Turbo NAS models supporting up to 24TB of storage. They are available with a dual-core Intel Core i3 processor or a quad-core Intel Xeon and 2GB – 4GB of ECC RAM.
The two new models are the TS-EC879U-RP and the TS-879U-RP. The EC879RP features a quad-core Xeon E3-1225 quad-core processor (3.1GHz), 4GB of ECC RAM, and 4x gigabit LAN ports. The 879U features a dual-core Intel Core i3-2120 processor (3.3GHz), 2GB of RAM, and 2x gigabit LAN ports. Both models feature redundant power supplies and 2x expansion slots for storage/network expansion.

Both the TS-EC879U and TS-879U are now shipping.
