QNAP Systems has announced the immediate availability of their new QSW-M408 series 4-port 10GbE SFP+ and 8-port Gigabit Layer 2 Web managed Switches (QSW-M408-4C, QSW-M408-2C and QSW-M408S). Designed for hybrid high-speed network infrastructure use cases, the new switches feature practical Layer 2 management functions and bandwidth utilization, ideal for an entry-level network management SMB solution.
QNAP Systems has announced the immediate availability of their new QSW-M408 series 4-port 10GbE SFP+ and 8-port Gigabit Layer 2 Web managed Switches (QSW-M408-4C, QSW-M408-2C and QSW-M408S). Designed for hybrid high-speed network infrastructure use cases, the new switches feature practical Layer 2 management functions and bandwidth utilization, ideal for an entry-level network management SMB solution.
QSW-M408 series switches are equipped with four 10GbE SFP+ ports and eight Gigabit ports, allowing users to connect multiple devices with SFP+ or RJ45 interfaces. Moreover, the QSW-M408-4C and QSW-M408-2C have four and two additional 10GbE SFP+/RJ45 combo ports, respectively. These ports support both 10GbE and NBASE-T technologies (i.e., 10Gbps, 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps and 100Mbps), which allows users leverage higher network speeds via existing Cat 5e and 6a cables. The new QNAP switch series switches also are equipped with Layer 2 management functions (e.g., LACP, VLAN, ACL and LLDP) using a comprehensive, yet simple, Web GUI. This will give users network bandwidth control and enhanced network security.
The QSW-M408 series supports the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and is compliant with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and IEEE802.3x Flow Control in full-duplex mode. As such, users can easily deploy small and medium-scale networks that support expansion, redundancy, and loop prevention, without having to worry about packet loss from unparalleled bandwidth and power consumption for low-speed and inactive connections.
The QNAP QSW-M408-4C, QSW-M408-2C and QSW-M408S are available now
