QNAP Systems has announced the availability of the TS-128A and TS-228A NAS solutions, the two models from the company's new entry-level home TS-x28A series. These new TS-128A and TS-228A are designed to offer users multimedia storage, sharing and streaming functions, and complete file and data protection capabilities as well as snapshot protection.
The TS-x28A series is powered by a Realtek RTD1295 quad-core 1.4 GHz processor with 1GB RAM to help satisfy the performance and storage needs for home multimedia. Additionally, the TS-x28A series runs the latest version of QNAP’s NAS operating system, QTS 4.3.4, which adds enhanced snapshot features with lower hardware resource requirements, which allows NAS solutions with 1GB RAM (like the TS-x28A) to benefit from snapshot protection. The new series also acts as an effective file storage, sharing, backup, synchronization, and data protection features and features applications for multimedia, sharing, backup and data storage; all at an affordable price tag.
Users of Windows, macOS and Linux can use the TS-x28A series as a file storage platform and share files with non-NAS users via share links. Moreoever, the Qsync feature automatically synchronize files across devices for sharing and collaboration, and Hybrid Backup Sync is a complete multi-layer file backup solution. TS-x28A series also features a range of mobile companion apps, including Qphoto, which allows users to take photos and videos and save them directly to the NAS.
