QNAP TS-x31 Series Turbo NAS Now Available

QNAP Systems has announced the release of their TS-x31 series Turbo NAS for SOHO. Powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, the TS0x31 can be used as a network storage center for backup, synchronization, remote access, and home entertainment.  It also provides an affordable high-performance solution for file storage, sharing, and data backup with an to an easy-to-use cloud-based note-taking application and a wide range of multimedia functions. The TS-x31 series are available in 1, 2, and 4-bay models.


QNAP Systems has announced the release of their TS-x31 series Turbo NAS for SOHO. Powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, the TS0x31 can be used as a network storage center for backup, synchronization, remote access, and home entertainment.  It also provides an affordable high-performance solution for file storage, sharing, and data backup with an to an easy-to-use cloud-based note-taking application and a wide range of multimedia functions. The TS-x31 series are available in 1, 2, and 4-bay models.

Notes Station allows users to create digital notes on their private cloud and share them with others without any fees and with a peace of mind knowing that their information is fully under their control and not stored on a third party’s server. In addition, users are given the ability to edit their notes with a web-based editor, take screenshots with a Google Chrome extension or desktop Qsnap application, and create to-do lists and calendar alerts, which can be synchronized to Google Calendar. Users also have access to their notes via the Qnotes mobile app.

With its ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 512MB DDR3 RAM, QNAP quotes their new NAS line to boast upwards of 110MB/s read and 80MB/s write.  It also comes equipped with dual LAN ports, (the TS-231 and TS-431 support dual IP settings) and port-trunking modes as well as the ability to set up fault tolerance or link aggregation for increased data throughput. In addition, the TS-x31 series features three SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports.

The TS-x31 series designed to work as a home multimedia hub with its wide range of multimedia applications. DLNA and AirPlay support allow TS-x31 users to view photos, listen to music, and watch HD-quality videos stored on the NAS throughout their home on compatible Smart TVs, game consoles and media players. In addition, the Photo Station, Music Station, and Video Station apps, enables users centralize their media collection, sync files across various devices, and share with others. Remote access and managing of files stored on the TS-x31 is done through Qphoto, Qmusic, Qfile, and Qmanager mobile apps.

Users also have access to the QTS App Center, which provides various install-on-demand apps developed by QNAP and third-party developers, including backup/sync, productivity tools, content management, communications, download, and entertainment.
