Today Riverbed Technologies announced the latest version of SteelCentral, its integrated Digital Experience Management solution. Riverbed states that the latest updates to SteelCentral will help companies to measure and troubleshoot all parts of the digital experience, from the user’s experience on the device to the back-end network, infrastructure, cloud and application.

The new updates to SteelCentral delivers an integrated, business focused, and user-centric solution for managing the digital experience of end users. The update also offers integrated monitoring and analysis of the complete end user service, down to the application code. On top of this, the latest update integrates SteelCentral Portal, SteelCentral Aternity, and SteelCentral AppInternals. With a single-pane-of-glass view of IT performance, SteelCentral users can now incorporate the device-based view of end user experience. This integration also allows faster and better troubleshooting of business-critical applications.

Benefits include:

  • Delivers enriched end user performance monitoring and provides integrated visibility into Digital Experience
  • Reduces the risk during application migrations, both on and off the Cloud
  • Enables businesses to manage outcomes across the application lifecycle
  • Delivers integrated network and infrastructure troubleshooting and monitoring

The migration of data and applications to the cloud is quickly growing. One issue that companies see as they migrate to the cloud is not knowing the full impact on application and networking performance. SteelCentral will now have migration planning and predication to assuage some fears and give better numbers as to what is happening. Customers will be able to plan and predict behavior of migrations between data center to data center, from data center to cloud, and between cloud providers.

To help network managers understand the impact of network infrastructure on network performance, Riverbed introduced an integration between NetProfiler and NetIM. This integration further enables cross domain collaboration that breaks down the communication barriers created by the deployment of disjointed point monitoring solutions.
