Seagate Expands Its Nytro Line With New Flash Products

Today Seagate Technology announced that it was expanded its Nytro line with three new products, Nytro XF1440 2.5”, Nytro XM1440 M.2 NVMe SSD, and the Nytro XP6500 Flash Accelerator Card. These new flash additions will extend Seagate’s flash products while working in conjunction with Seagate’s existing storage products.


Today Seagate Technology announced that it was expanded its Nytro line with three new products, Nytro XF1440 2.5”, Nytro XM1440 M.2 NVMe SSD, and the Nytro XP6500 Flash Accelerator Card. These new flash additions will extend Seagate’s flash products while working in conjunction with Seagate’s existing storage products.

Flash is increasingly being adopted in enterprise environments. Seagate’s new line of Nytro products are aimed at OEMs and system partners that need high performance, reliability, and endurance. The new Nytro line is ideal for OLTP, HPC, data warehousing, data mining, and data analytics. The drives and card are also well-suited for workloads with mixed IO sizes and multiple applications running simultaneously.

Availability

The Seagate Nytro XP6500 Flash Accelerator Card is available today. The Nytro XF1440 SSD is expected to be available in October this year and the XM1440 SSD is expected to be available in the first part of 2016.
