At ISC West this past week, Spectra Logic Corporation unveiled a new global division, Spectra Video Surveillance. Simultaneously, they also unveiled Spectra Video Surveillance’s first product, Spectra NVR3. NVR3 is an enterprise-class fully integrated video management software (VMS) that has intelligent analytics and multi-tiered storage.

The Spectra NVR3 is a combination of high-performance VMS and long-term retention. It includes feature rich VMS, analytics software and tiered storage. The NVR3 enables users to live view, manage, analyze, record, retain, and retrieve surveillance video through a user friendly, intuitive interface. It is optimized for mission-critical functions and provides the highest levels of data assurance.

Spectra NVR3 features include:

  • Integrated enterprise class video management solution includes a high performance server, digital tape library, and a full feature VMS.
  • Scales to accommodate unlimited cameras, increasing bandwidth requirements, and long term video retention mandates.
  • Tiered storage allows for 100% of video accessibility 100% of the time.
  • Live Viewer – View live events and record video from your directly attached, enabled cameras on a customizable display layout. Employ PTZ controls and focus your cameras as needed.
  • Video Manager – Quickly search using metadata, access and review video from your library of forensic video assets.
  • Data Service Policies – Easily move, copy, and delete video while preserving its original quality on multiple storage tiers.
  • Camera Policies – Record video from the cameras that you want, at the time you want. When tiering on disk and tape, you easily generate low resolution companion files of your original video, storing them on disk at a fraction of their original size. Original, unaltered video is stored on cost-effective digital tape.
  • Data Analytics – Effortlessly capture and investigate video for data analytics purposes.
