Supermicro Computer has announced the expansion of its portfolio of server and storage solutions supporting Non-Volatile Memory express (NVMe) storage technology. Supermicro’s numerous NMVe solutions are available across its 1U Ultra and WIO SuperServers, 2U Ultra, TwinPro, EXDP 32DIMM and DCO SuperServers, 4U FatTwin and 7U SuperBlade platforms.

Supermicro claims that their NVMe performance includes advantages such as a maximum of 6x in throughput gains and 7x lower latency when compared to current SATA3 and SAS3 SSD technology. Supermicro NVMe solutions are designed for optimum performance in HPC, Oil and Gas, HFT, High Security Encryption, VDI, 3D visualization for Aerospace and Automotive design, Hyper-scale Data Center, Cloud, Virtualization, and Enterprise environments.
