Synology released their latest version of their DiskStation Manager, version 4.0. With this latest version comes a great integration with cloud-storage for mobile, home, and work computers and a stronger push towards easy setup and control. DSM 4.0 offers a new user interface, system information available at your fingertips, and even app support including free antivirus software to protect files on the NAS. With more devices offering app support, it wasn’t a huge shock seeing Synology making this push. They have already offered package downloads, although the latest method makes it easier for the user to select the application and install it on the system without first downloading an installation files to their computer beforehand.
