Verbatim SATA II and SATA III SSD Line Announced

Verbatim, manufacturer of storage technology, has announced the availability of its 2.5” SATA SSDs and upgrade kits. Verbatim SSDs are available in both SATA II and SATA III interfaces and feature ultra-fast data transfer rates, faster system boot-up and shut down, and increased system responsiveness making it ideal for customers seeking a serious performance and reliability upgrade. Verbatim SSDs contain no moving parts, which results in greater durability, increased shock resistance, quiet operation, and reduced power consumption.


Verbatim, manufacturer of storage technology, has announced the availability of its 2.5” SATA SSDs and upgrade kits. Verbatim SSDs are available in both SATA II and SATA III interfaces and feature ultra-fast data transfer rates, faster system boot-up and shut down, and increased system responsiveness making it ideal for customers seeking a serious performance and reliability upgrade. Verbatim SSDs contain no moving parts, which results in greater durability, increased shock resistance, quiet operation, and reduced power consumption.

Verbatim’s line of 2.5” SATA II SSDs are available individually or can be purchased with an upgrade kit making upgrading from hard disk drives a smooth process. Upgrade kits are packed with NTI Echo smart cloning software giving users the ability to copy their entire hard drive without the need to reinstall programs or update drivers. A special casing is included, which converts your existing hard drive into an external drive for supplementary storage in addition to all the components needed for desktop installations, including a 3.5” bay adapter, mounting screws, and a Molex power cable.

Verbatim SATA II SSDs are available in capacities of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB and provide Read and Write speeds of 270MB/s and 225MB/s respectively.

Verbatim SATA III SSDs offer even higher performance on SATA III-based systems and are capable of achieving Read and Write speeds over 500MB/s. Verbatim SATA III SSDs are equipped with the popular SandForce 2281 controller, which incorporates advanced wear leveling, sophisticated EDC/ECC, and garbage collection algorithms to maintain stable and reliable performance.

Verbatim SATA III SSDs are available in capacities of 120GB, 240GB and 480GB.

All Verbatim SSDs are shipped with a typical 3-year warranty, are S.M.A.R.T. (Self Monitoring and Reporting Technology) capable and offer native TRIM support for Windows 7.
