Dell today announced new workload-optimized solutions for Dell server, storage and networking systems running the SAP HANA real-time analytics database
Dell SAP HANA solutions are now available in pre-integrated configurations from 1 terabyte to more than 4 terabytes, based on the same architecture employed in Dell’s single-server SAP appliances. The new solutions are built around PowerEdge R910 nodes and leverage Dell’s Compellent fibre channel controllers with the company’s Fluid Data Architecture for scale-out.
Dell’s acquisition of Gale Technologies has allowed the company to extend Active System Manager’s to incorporate virtualized infrastructure and workloads in addition to physical infrastructure. Active System Manager 7.0 will be part of Active System 800, an integrated large private cloud and business application solution, and its associated reference architecture.
Availability
Dell’s scale-out SAP HANA solutions are available in EMEA and the United States. Active System Manager 7.0 will be available with Active System 800 and its reference architecture in the US in February and in Europe by late Spring.
