Today, Eaton launched its new integrated infrastructure that combines key elements of advanced power and physical asset management, the RackPack IT Platform. This new plug-and-play platform is designed to provide customers in North America with best-in-class power management while seamlessly integrating with major virtualization and converged infrastructure platforms, in addition to traditional IT environments.

End-users want to be able to quickly select the proper infrastructure while avoiding configuration mistakes. Enter the Eaton RackPack IT, a complete infrastructure with an enclosure, advanced power distribution units (PDUs) and uninterruptible power system (UPS), as well as comprehensive power management software. The RackPack IT can deliver up to 5,400 watts of power, which can offer data integrity, business continuity, and resilience in virtually any IT or enterprise setting.

The RackPack IT platform features Eaton’s ePDU G3 Metered Input model and its Vantage S2 enclosure system and cable management system which aims to give data centers better organization, airflow, and access. Along with the ePDU and enclosure system, the RackPack IT Platform also utilizes Eatons’ 9PX UPS. The 9PX UPS is ENERGY STAR certified and helps customers effectively reduce electrical usage and carbon footprint. And all of these features are paired with Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager software: Silver license and environmental monitoring probe. Eaton claims that its software can increase uptime and data integrity by allowing customers to remotely monitor, manage and control power devices.

RackPack IT has been validated by vendors such as VMware, Cisco, NetApp, EMC, SimpliVity and Nutanix. Customers of these vendors can rest easy knowing they are getting the approved infrastructure for their converged and hyperconverged solutions.
