Fujitsu & NetApp Launch NFLEX, Converged Infrastructure Solution

Today Fujitsu Limited and NetApp announced their new joint solution aimed at simplifying the implementation and operation of virtual environments, NFLEX Converged Infrastructure. NFLEX is the combination of 20 years of expertise, delivered ready to run, and includes modular sizing, preconfigured expansion packs, single-call support, and integrated management. Both companies state that the above features will be able to reduce operational expenses and accelerate positive business outcomes.

NFLEX is the combination of 20 years of expertise, delivered ready to run, and includes modular sizing, preconfigured expansion packs, single-call support, and integrated management. Both companies state that the above features will be able to reduce operational expenses and accelerate positive business outcomes.

Business, and its needs, is constantly changing and evolving. In order to remain competitive or to gain an advantage, organizations need to be agile and flexible. Noting this, Fujitsu and NetApp have jointly developed NFLEX, which enables companies to roll with the changes by adding compute or storage capacity and to scale with precision when needed, this also helps customers match application requirements to business needs. NFLEX is built off of proven technology of two large vendors. All aspects are built to simplify the experience for customers, including support. And NFLEX systems are built to be highly energy efficiency, helping reduce operational costs.

Getting into the components of NFLEX, it includes Fujitsu PRIMERGY CX400 M4 x86 servers and Fujitsu Software ServerView Infrastructure Manager (ISM) along or NetApp All Flash FAS A-Series or hybrid flash FAS systems with NetApp ONTAP data management software. All NFLEX are built for high availability and have flexible configuration to best meet customer needs (i.e. customers can choose the number of server nodes; memory and storage capacity; and type of storage, hybrid or all-flash).

NFLEX is made for businesses from midsized up to large enterprises across all industry sectors. The new solution interoperates with existing environments and is ready for cloud and hybrid IT environments through the combination of Fujitsu Enterprise Service Catalog Manager and the NetApp Data Fabric.

Availability

NFLEX will be available starting in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in early 2018.
