Today G-Technology, a Western Digital Corporation (WDC) company, announced two new products in its G-SPEED Shuttle family. These new 4-bay storage solutions are built for users that need high capacity, portability, and high performance. The solutions run up to 48TB and up to 1GB/s transfer speeds.
With the increase in quality of video (from 1080p to 4K and now even 8K), creative professionals are finding their files to be massive. They need to offload these files in order to keep working. With the new Shuttle solutions, users will have more than enough capacity with a range between 16TB to 48TB. The solutions leverage Thunderbolt 3 technology. G-Technology claims that a professional can transfer one hour of 4K footage at 30 frames per second (fps) in just minutes at up to 1,000MB/s.
