Today at NAB 2017 in Las Vegas, Western Digital Corporation (WDC) announced that its G-Technology line would be upgrading several of its products to Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C connectivity. This update not only improves connectivity from G-tech’s product line to modern computers, it also brings faster transfer speeds that creative professionals will need as their content gains in resolution and takes up more capacity.
The popular line of products from G-Technology is built for creative professionals, including videographers and digital photographers. The product line is designed to provide the performance and capacity needed for creative applications while being attractive while doing so. The latest updates adds even more performance and capacity to keep in line with the increase in demands for both.

Availability and Pricing
The G-DRIVE with Thunderbolt 3 is available now with a MSRP of $699.95 for the 10TB, the 12TB is expected to ship next quarter for $799.95. The G-RAID with Thunderbolt 3 is expected to be available in June for the 20TB model and the next quarter there will be the 24TB model for $1,999.95. The G-SPEED Shuttle XL with Thunderbolt 3 is also expected to be available in June for models up to 80TB and the next quarter with up to 96TB for $10,199.95. And the G-SPEED Shuttle XL with ev Series bay adapters is expected to be available next quarter with up to 72TB and a MSRP of $7,799.95. All devices use Ultrastar Enterprise-class drives and are backed by an industry-leading 5-year limited warranty.
