The PM7 Series is the company’s 2nd generation of 24G SAS SSDs that are ideal for enterprise applications and modern IT infrastructures, such as high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, caching layer, and financial trading and analysis.
The newest release from KIOXIA features improved performance, reliability, and especially security, as the PM7 Series is FIPS2 140-2 certified and currently under testing for FIPS 140-3 certification.
With 24G SAS (SAS-4), it essentially doubles bandwidth over 12Gb/s SAS (SAS-3) drives as well as up to 20% in performance gains over its previous generation of 24G. Moreover, it is equipped with KIOXIA’s 5th generation BiCS FLASH 3D TLC flash memory and is quoted to deliver up to 4.2GB/s in sequential reads, 720,000 IOPS in random reads, and 355,000 IOPS in random writes. The KIOXIA PM7 also comes in capacities up to 30.72TB, which makes it the highest capacity 2.5” SAS SSD available.
