Last week on March 21, 2019, Leostream announced the release of their latest Connection Broker (9.0.34). This update includes some interesting upgrades as well as few minor bug fixes.

The most interesting news that we found in this release is that Leostreamhas partnered with Scale Computing, one of the earliest hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms. This partnership combines Leostream’ s virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) prowess with Scale Computing’sHCI experience. This solution should play well in the SMB market as both companies have tailored their systems to be as hands off and maintenance free as possible thereby simplify the management of IT in users’ office or datacenter.

Other new features in this release include; the ability to pre-provision virtual desktops at a given time In order to protect against boot storms, support for Red Hat Virtualization center, and Google Cloud Platform center, the ability to attach the Connection Broker to an Azure SQL database, added functionality for PCoIP remote workstation cards, the ability to display the protocol clients and version on the Leostream management screen.
