Micron 2300 & Micron 2210 QLC NVMe SSDs Now Available

Micron has announced the immediate availability of the Micron 2300 and Micron 2210, two new NVMe M.2 SSDs designed for client computing applications. The Micron 2300 SSD is ideal for compute-heavy applications while the Micron 2210 combines NVMe performance with low-cost QLC NAND for a very affordable overall price point.

Micron has announced the immediate availability of the Micron 2300 and Micron 2210, two new NVMe M.2 SSDs designed for client computing applications. The Micron 2300 SSD is ideal for compute-heavy applications while the Micron 2210 combines NVMe performance with low-cost QLC NAND for a very affordable overall price point.

Both SSDs leverage Micron’s 96-layer 3D NAND technology, which combines power-savings, up to 2TB in capacity, and a compact form factor for flexible deployment. Micron also indicates enhanced client security features and capabilities for protecting data as well as TCG Opal 2.0 and TCG Pyrite 2.0 support.

Micron 2300 NVMe SSD

The Micron 2300 SSD is designed for applications that demand high performance, indicating the following features:

  • Maximizes for data-intensive workloads encompassing CAD, graphical design and video editing resulting in faster application load times and responsiveness
  • Offers capacities ranging from 256GB up to 2TB
  • Fits a broad set of desktop and mobile design needs with a small, dense, M.2 form factor (2280)
  • Offers up to 3,300MB/s sequential reads and up to 2,700MB/s sequential writes

Micron 2210 QLC NVMe SSD

The Micron 2210 SSD combines performance with reliability and power efficiency via high-density, low-cost QLC architecture, indicating the following features:  

  • Improves application load times and responsiveness with NVMe, making it ideal for performance-sensitive applications.
  • Offers capacities ranging from 512GB up to 2TB in the M.2 (2280) form factor.
  • Provides a cache with greater write endurance and performance with innovative dynamic write acceleration that is optimized for QLC architecture
  • Up to 2,200 MB/s sequential reads and up to 1,800 MB/s sequential writes
