Today Pure Storage announced that its FlashStack CI reference architecture is now combining Microsoft SQL Server and Citrix XenDesktop with its FlashArray 400 series. Pure Storage is also expanding its FlashStack CI to new global partners and reseller opportunities in what Pure hopes will accelerate the flash adoption in datacenters.

As converged infrastructure is looking more attractive to IT departments (with its simplicity and repeatability), Pure Storage provides a converged infrastructure with 100% flash in its FlashStack CI. FlashStack CI architectures are intended for use in high-performance turnkey stacks for virtual server and virtual desktop deployments at scale. FlashStack CI will now include Citrix XenDesktop, which can scale up to 7,500 VMs per rack enabling high-performance, low latency virtualized mobile workspaces. FlashStack CI also now includes Microsoft SQL Server. This integration will enable IT to build simple, repeatable SQL infrastructures that provide predictable performance at lower total cost.

FalshStack CI is exclusively delivered through channel partners. Pure Storage also announced today that it is expanding to a wider partner group that will provide a low-touch model increasing purchasing options, component choice and design guidance, and offer a wider range of services to customers. Resellers will also be able to provide support and services.

Partner benefits include:

  • Delivers more responsive applications to customers via flash
  • Simpler level of reseller certification to join the P3 partner program
  • Low-touch partner model
  • Provides a highly customized and personalized ownership experience to customers
  • Vendors provide support for individual elements and the entire stack (no one-call support)
  • Strategic customer relationships and retention through service-based opportunities
  • Lower business risk due to wider adoption of FlashStack CI solutions
