The TS-2888X also supports 4 high-end graphics card installations and runs QuAI, QNAP’s proprietary AI developer package.

Built around AI optimization, the TS-2888X features an Intel Xeon W processor with up to 18 cores and 36 threads, and up to 4.5 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. To enable rapid workload and processing delivery, the TS-2888X supports up to 512 GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM 2666 MHz RAM. It also supports mainstream NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel acceleration cards. 8PCIe slots are provided, along with a 2000W 80Plus Platinum PSU that can accommodate up to 4 high-end graphics cards for enhanced computing power. Scaling and performance requirements will always be a part of any data infrastructure. To accommodate this, the TS-2888X employs a hybrid storage architecture, supporting eight 3.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s HDDs, sixteen 2.5-inch SATA 6GB/s SSDs, and four 2.5-inch U.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe SSDs. With this architecture, users are able to utilize advanced features such as SSD caching and auto-tiering.

With the TS-2888X, organizations can easily set up and maintain AI applications through QNAP’s comprehensive software environment. The TS-2888X comes with QNAP’s Container Station, which enables certain open-source tools and frameworks, such as Caffe, TensorFlow, AlexNet, FaceNet, and others, and also QNAP’s proprietary AI developer package, QuAI, that allows you to quickly build, train, and optimize AI models running on the NAS. Moreover, to assure data security and provide disaster recovery, the NAS provides flexible backup tools and snapshot protection. The TS-2888X brings to the market a reliable NAS that simplifies the implementation of Artificial Intelligence.
