QNAP IS-400 Pro Turbo NAS Now Available

QNAP Systems has announced the release of their IS-400 Pro Turbo NAS, an all-in-one industrial, 2.5” SSD/HDD compatible four-bay NAS designed for reliable operation. Built with a rugged fanless design, the new Turbo NAS is built specifically for factories, warehouses, vehicles, shop floors, and other non-office settings looking for a reliable NAS and surveillance solution with high performance, durability, and persistent throughput. The IS-400 Pro is equipped with a dual-core 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron Processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM, providing speeds of up to 221MB/s read and 214MB/s write.

Built with a rugged fanless design, the new Turbo NAS is built specifically for factories, warehouses, vehicles, shop floors, and other non-office settings looking for a reliable NAS and surveillance solution with high performance, durability, and persistent throughput. The IS-400 Pro is equipped with a dual-core 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron Processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM, providing speeds of up to 221MB/s read and 214MB/s write.

The IS-400 Pro’s is built with high-quality aluminum materials to help maximize heat dissipation. As a result, QNAP ensures that operations will be kept consistently between -25°C and 50°C (-13°F to 120°F) when used with SSDs. Additionally, the IS-400 Pro is compliant with the military-grade MIL-STD-810G-514.6E-1 simulation test for anti-vibration, enabling it withstand impact while still providing continuous operation.

The included Surveillance Station provides businesses with a comprehensive surveillance solution, allowing users to set up a surveillance center for real-time monitoring as well as video and audio recording and playback. The IS-400 Pro is also compatible with over 2,600 IP cameras and the AXIS Camera Companion, the video management software for AXIS network cameras. The turbo NAS is administrated through QNAP’s QTS 4.1 operating system, which provides users with various applications such as storage management, file sharing, and virtualization support. All of the services and applications that are frequently used in business environments are organized on the desktop for easy access.

The IS-400 Pro is compatible with all of the major virtualization solutions on the market, including VMware vSphere 5.1, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server 2012. It is also compatible with VMware VAAI, QNAP vSphere Client plug-in, Microsoft ODX, and QNAP SMI-S provider. In addition, QNAP’s NetBak Replicator supports real-time and scheduled data backup on the Windows OS including Outlook email archiving and Apple Time Machine on Mac OS X. A variety of third-party backup software is also supported, such as Acronis True Image and Symantec Backup Exec.

The IS-400 Pro also offers various data recovery options. With RTRR (Real-Time Remote Replication), businesses have the option of real time or scheduled data backup to remote Turbo NAS or FTP servers. Additionally, RTRR synchronizes files to remote folders from local folders with improved backup efficiency and reduced backup time. The IS-400 Pro supports rsync protocol to back up data to remote servers on a scheduled basis. Data can also be backed up to and restored from many different cloud storage services, such as Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Microsoft Azure, ElephantDrive, Symform, Dropbox and Google Drive.
